About Connie
I Don’t Just Know Business.
I Live It.
I started using computers when DOS 2.0 was cutting edge. That was not a disadvantage, it meant I learned how systems actually work before the interfaces made it easy to pretend otherwise. Thirty-five years later, I have worked across enough industries, on enough software, and through enough business crises to know what a well-run operation looks like and exactly what it costs when one isn’t.
Office Wife LLC is the result of all of it, the experience, the industries, the systems built and rebuilt, and the understanding that most small business owners are not failing because they lack ambition. They are failing because they are doing every job at once, and the operational infrastructure is the first thing to get dropped.
Background
Where the Experience Comes From
Commercial Real Estate
Administrative assistant, transaction coordinator, and loan coordinator in commercial real estate. I have managed the full paperwork lifecycle, from loan applications and escrow to mandatory disclosures and closing, with an understanding of what happens legally if any step goes wrong.
Technology & Systems
My relationship with technology started with DOS 2.0 and has evolved through every generation of business software since. I learn what each client actually needs, not what is trending, and I train, troubleshoot, and implement accordingly. Computer maintenance, software training, WordPress, digital systems setup, and workflow design are all part of what I bring.
Business Operations & Consulting
Spanning multiple industries over 35 years, I have consulted on office practices, compliance, bookkeeping, administrative systems, and the operational decisions that keep a small business out of trouble. I understand California law requirements for small businesses and work to keep my clients’ practices aligned, before a problem surfaces, not after.
How I Work
Personalized.
Not Templated.
Every engagement starts with a free 15-minute discovery call, not a sales pitch, but a real conversation to understand where your business actually is. I don’t offer one-size-fits-all packages because no two businesses have the same gaps. What I offer is flexible: hourly, project-based, or a monthly retainer built around your real needs.
For document exchange and collaboration, I work through OneDrive, a secure, organized environment where your files are accessible to you and protected at all times. Security is not an afterthought here; it is built into how I operate.
The Name
Why Office Wife?
Before I started this business, I worked closely with a program manager at my last job. The CEO had a habit of calling me the Office Wife, the person who kept everything running, knew where everything was, handled what needed handling, and made sure the work actually got done. It started as an inside joke. It stuck because it was accurate.
When I left to go out on my own, it was the first name that came to mind, because it described exactly what I do. Not tasks. Not errands. The operational backbone. The person the whole office runs on without always realizing it. That is what Office Wife LLC has always been, and what it continues to be for every client I work with.
